This was touching. As someone who's home country had been thoroughly influenced by colonisers, I connected a lot with the discovery of the language. It has only been a couple of years since the country brought it back. Learning to write the symbols we should have known by heart in a different timeline felt magical in a way. We were reconnecting with our ancestors with each stroke. It breaks my heart to know we have lost much more of the culture from pre-colonial era.
